when the weekend is no longer a weekend......

..............when the weekend is used for working night shifts to scrape some extra money together for that new pair of shoes....................
......................... i love them!!! so i have given up my only weekend off in months to do a night shift, make two pendants and paint a portrait, who am i kidding i like to be busy!!!

.............. so this week i have been busy, i made two broken heart charms, one aimed at a girl or a guy, each half is from the same heart, i am really hoping a couple will buy them, but im guessing some miserable goth full of woes will buy one!!!
.............. the can be worn around the neck or on the sleeve, however i would like to point out i do not recommend wearing a broken heart on your sleeve it screams REBOUND! but then we've all been their have we not?!

.......................... this starry piece is my entry into the august etsy challenge on flickr, the subject was magic, i went for a voodoo take on the whole magic idea. Its cute im very fond of this piece

..............so now to my weekend of sleeplessness, and trying not to cut my fingers of with the saw..................

Screwballs are no more!!!!............................

........................ when asking the icecream van man for a screwball my mr got a very blank look, well it turns out they are now called hedgehogs because they have FOUR FLAKES! four! now i love flakes but i can not eat four then enjoy my icecream and then chew my bubblegum without wanting to vomit!.................................................................................................anyhow i have been remarkably slack lately due to the amount of night shifts i have been having to do, i have be a zombie for about two weeks now,............................ ......................i did manage to make this lucky number 7 bracelet though, its the first piece i have made for a man apart from rings so i tried to keep it masculine without making it plain and boring, hence the leather cord etc, the recipient was pleased though, WAHAY!.............................

............................ i am also trying to build up more of a collection of jewelery to put on my etsy page which is what the above piece is about, a nautical star created with silhouetting and etching, and finished with a bead and skull detail on the necklace to keep it girly but to make it a little more badass :) ...................................

silver never goes out of fashion..........

so, i've had a productive few days, a friend asked me to make a silver band with the inscription 'live forever' inside, pic below - inscription doesn't show very well in these pictures unfortunately but i think you can get the idea

i was really pleased with how the ring turned out, it was the first time that i have done engraving and i also had a short deadline for completing the ring as they guy wanted to give it to his lady before she went away a couple of days later.


This is another piece from my silhouette collection, it looks faaaabulous on, its size Q - R and is made from silver (of course!)

Anyway i'm off to barcelona for a few days in a week or two so then ill be forced to chill out and do nothing!

so i cut my finger and it hurt, then i did it again, and that hurt! then i did it again!! im officially dumb,

anyway this is why ................................. i was making stuffs again...........

Dove pendant, on a chain with a vintage style clasp. I absoloutely love this piece and really had trouble parting with it but its for a friends ladys birthday so i wont be cruel and keep it, maybe ill just steal it off her oneday when she's drunk so she wont remember!

your only as busy as you make yourself.............

...........so here are my latest bits of silver finery ;) the anklet is for a friend, i'm not overly big on hearts used in jewellery but i'm quite please with how this piece came out. Especially as it was my first attempt at anything this fiddily.

Its a silver anklet, my friend asked for a heart on it so i simply used some silver wire to create a clasp, this keeps the item as bulk free as possible as you dont want lots of dangly bits knocking around your ankle, would you??? I also attatched a safety chain just to make the piece more robust if thats the right word to use.


This is an extra thick silver band i made for a friend of my fiance, he wanted a simple chunky thumb ring that wouldn't make him look like he should be spending the evening at revenge in brighton if you catch my drift.














This is just another plain band i made for another friend, he also wanted a simple, plain silver band for his little finger.

















Its so difficult to come across decent plain bands locally - maybe i'v found a niche in the market for myself.
